East Coast Designs & Company was founded on January 15, 2006 by Mike Trout and Katie Maass. It started out as a humble xanga helpsite providing some layouts and helpful tips. Soon they began to explore more areas of the internet and started providing their users with html codes and music urls for their xanga sites. Then as we all know myspace took off. Mike left the xanga to begin building a myspace for them while Katie held down the fort on the xanga. East Coast Designz on myspace became one of the fastest growing and one of most popular layout sites on myspace by gaining an un heard of 5,000 friends in its first week. One of Mikes good friends Kristine joined in summer 2006 to help with the myspace so Mike would be able to do both Myspace & Xanga. The East Coast Design Company grew too large for Xanga and MySpace so they moved to a website in August 2006. The website gained over 10,000 visitors in its first week. The owner of http://www.nuclearcentury.com/ and http://xlayoutsx.com/ asked Mike if he could host them so They opened ECC.xlayoutsx.com in September 2006. In October 2006 Chris joined to contribute to the East Coast. In March 2007 Amanda from Silent Atmosphere began to contribute website templates. The East Coast Design Co Has grown into one of the largest web support sites on the net receiving over 60,000 hits per day and over Three Million views per month. Over 30,000 Xanga subscribers and 182,000 MySpace friends as of June 2007. They plan to keep expanding and serving everyone until they are unable to continue.
